We are all haunted by images both light & dark. Images are powerful and linked to memory & emotion. This will be our jumping off place to dive into the musicality of language in its poetic form.

In this 4 week class we will:
-bring in poems by other writers to study image, musicality & form
-bring in images or music to write about and discuss
-Generate poems from prompts focusing on how image and form shape and influences our work & worldview
-Edit our poems focusing on line and musicality of language

This class is for all levels of writers. Adults and teens 16+ are welcome.

Important: Before class starts please order a copy of The Poet’s Companion by Kim Addonizio & Dorianne Laux and bring to class. This will be our main textbook. Also please bring notebook & pen/pencil, we will be writing & editing in class.
