Event Description:
As leaders (formal and informal!), we bring a lot to the table in our work with others. One often overlooked but extremely effective role is that of a coach.
In this highly interactive and action-oriented session, we will identify and develop the key skills that leadership coaches use to bring out the very best in others. By differentiating mentoring, managing, and coaching, Jessica will help you decode strategies for the various people you wish to coach, and we will practice and get supportive feedback from each other using real-world conversation for practice.
Jessica has extensive experience coaching people in a wide range of organizations and settings. She designed and led the Leader as Coach and Executive as Coach programs at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and trained internal coaches at a Fortune 25 organization.
In addition to her graduate training in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Jessica has trained with some of the best coaches in the world, including David Peterson (who currently leads the coaching practice for Google), Marshall Goldsmith, and is a Results Certified Coach (now the NeuroLeadership Institute).
